December EOC Testing

Dear Parents and Guardians,

All End-of-Course exams retakes are scheduled to be taken online at the student’s enrolled campus on December 8-11, 2020.  All students who are enrolled in G.L. Wiley Opportunity Center, including remote and in-person, will be required to come to the physical exam site of G.L. Wiley to retake their exams.

Students should report to the campus no later than 8:25 a.m. for testing. In addition, they are required to wear masks and to adhere to the district and campus requirements to stay Covid-safe.  If the student is a remote learner, they may be picked up from the campus upon completion of the exams.

Senate Bill 1031 requires end-of-course (EOC) assessment instruments in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English I, English II, English III, World Geography, World History, and United States History. The purpose of the EOC exams is to measure students’ academic performance in core high school courses. The EOC exams are also part of graduation requirements beginning with the freshman class of 2011–2012.

Because the EOC exams are required for graduation, students who have not passed the previous  exams will be required to retake EOC exams the week of December 8-11

The following calendar of exams is provided:

           English 1 – Tuesday 12/08/2020 (8:30 a.m.) (5 hours allowed)

           Algebra 1 – Wednesday 12/09/2020 (8:30 a.m.) (4 hours allowed)

           English 2 – Thursday 12/10/2020 (8:30 a.m.) (5 hours allowed)

           Biology - Friday 12/11/2020 (8:30 a.m.) (4 hours allowed)

           U.S. History – Friday 12/11/2020 (afternoon) (4 hours allowed)
