TMS Teacher of the Year

 
Mrs. Prather is a 7th grade Science teacher in the ATLAS Academy and a three-time nominee for the nation's highest honors for teachers of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics---the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). 
 
In addition to this, she has been an active sponsor of the TMS/ATLAS team for the US Department of Energy's Science Bowl , the Nature's Classroom Institute trip and the Garden Club.  Mrs. Prather is also a Master Gardener, and has written and  received $100,000 worth of grants during her tenure at Tennyson Middle School.
