Coming off an 86 point night just last week, the Tiger train started where they left off and ran back the opening kick for a quick lead and never looked back on their way to a 63-7 taming of the Lions.
By halftime the score had ballooned to 49-0 and grew to 63-0 in the third before Waco put a cap on the scoring and clear the goose egg.
The Lions rushed for 215 yards but with little to no air attack they totaled a mere 247 yards compared to Belton's 507.
With the win and Temple loss to Midway, the 12-6A championship will be decided this Friday night as the Tigers (7-2; 6-1) battle the Panthers (7-1; 7-0) at Panther Stadium in Hewitt.
Waco falls to (1-8; 0-7) with the loss and will complete their season this Friday at Waco ISD Stadium hosting the Kangaroos from Killeen (4-5; 3-4). Make plans to come out and support the Lions as they honor this year's seniors and make one last valiant effort at erasing the goose egg in the district win column.
