Ten local groups honored with 2019-2020 Award for Outstanding Community Partners

Waco ISD’s theme for the 2019-2020 school year was “Rise.” The theme celebrated learning and growing as well as overcoming challenges and recognized that no school district rises by itself. Instead, Waco ISD rises when families, employees and the community join together to realize their shared hopes and dreams for the district’s students and their future.

Waco ISD is blessed to have scores of community partners who are deeply invested in the district’s students and their success. During each month of the 2019-2020 school year (beginning October 2019), the district recognized a community partner making a difference with the 2019-2020 Rise Award for Outstanding Community Partners.
