Waco ISD students place in Waco Mammoth National Monument art contest

In partnership with The National Park Service, the Waco Mammoth National Monument sponsored an art contest to celebrate the 10th annual National Fossil Day, which was celebrated Wednesday, October 16, 2019, during Earth Science Week. The theme for this year's art contest was: “Extinct Giants and Survivors of the Last Ice Age." Local entries were judged by the Martin Museum of Art at Baylor University, and local winners were then entered in the national contest.

Congratulations to these Waco ISD students whose entries placed at the local level!
