    We look forward to having you as a new employee and member of the Waco ISD family! The Human Resources Department, in partnership with all stakeholders, strives to recruit, hire, train and retain the most effective employees to educate and serve our students in achieving success.

    As a part of your new employee orientation you will soon encounter numerous forms to complete and policies with which to become familiar. Before you become too involved with this process, we would like to take a few minutes to review fringe benefits.

    With respect to employee benefits, the District provides each eligible employee with a $10,000.00 term life insurance policy. In addition, there are four comprehensive health options available at moderate or no cost to employees.  There are also optional coverage such as short/long-term disability, dental, vision, cancer, flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care costs and additional optional supplemental life insurance.  If you select benefits which require a contribution from you, the premium will be deducted from each of your paychecks.  Benefits selection must be made within 30 days of your hire (start) date or you will be considered to have “waived benefits”.  Questions regarding benefits should be directed to the Benefits Department at (254) 755-9522 or via e-mail to: tammy.boyett@wacoisd.org.
