The Waco ISD Education Foundation and its SurPRIZE Patrol visited 16 Waco ISD campuses Tuesday to surprise 26 teachers with the news that their grant applications were approved for funding for the 2019-2020 school year. This year, the foundation is awarding $113,682 back to the district, bringing the total funded to more than $1.7 million over the past decade and a half.
Individuals interested in being considered for an appointment to either the at-large seat representing the entire school district or to the position representing Trustee District 3 should submit a letter expressing their interest no later than May 31.
After 17 years, Perez is the longest-serving Hispanic school board member in the district’s history.
During his tenure, Atkins led efforts to address state budget cuts, pass a tax ratification election and launch a first-of-its-kind in-district charter partnership.

Picking Children up before Dismissal
If you pick your child up before dismissal it is considered a partial day absence. There is a form at the front desk you need to sign to acknowledge you are aware.
Individuals without their children's number displayed will be required to come in to school and show their ID. If you are in need of additional numbers, please contact the school.
