School Transfers

 

Waco ISD looks forward to welcoming students to their newly-zoned school communities for the 2025-2026 school year, following. approval by the Waco ISD Board of Trustees on March 27, 2025. With the closure of Alta Vista Elementary and Indian Spring Middle Schools, resulting from the 2021 bond program, Alta Vista students will attend either Kendrick or South Waco Elementary based on their residency. West Avenue Elementary students will be promoted to Cesar Chavez Middle School. Students attending G.W. Carver Middle School who live in the current West Avenue Elementary attendance zone are rezoned to CCMS starting in the 2025-2026 school year. 

Student Transfers include requests to transfer from one Waco ISD campus to another, as well as Transferring into the district. The transfer request window will be open April 28, 2025 -  May 9, 2025.
