Back to School
Waco ISD families, please review the information below to help you and your student(s) be prepared for the first day of school on August 13, 2025. Family Fest will be held on July 26, 2025 so be sure to come in and get a head start.
Enrollment/Registration
First, if you haven’t completed the registration process for your student — do so now! Find out how by clicking on this page . Please contact your child’s school for specific questions you may have.
Calendars
Be sure to print the 2025-2026 District Instructional Calendar / Calendaro de Instrucción de Waco ISD 2025-2026 and take note of the year’s student holidays, early release days, bad weather, makeup days and reporting periods. And remember — attendance matters! Missing just two days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year. Start working on your plan now to make regular attendance the norm in your household
Bus Transportation
If your student needs bus transportation, please complete the transportation section during the registration process. Initial registrations are due by July 25th so that our drivers can begin to practice their routes on July 31st. Any requests received after July 25th may require a week or more to add stops to existing routes. The Transportation Department plans to have initial bus routes prepared by Sunday, August 10th, however, routes may change frequently for the first few weeks of school as additional bus stops are added. Once the routes are ready, you will be able to view the route information online.
School Meals
Waco ISD is on the Community Eligibility Provision with TDA (USDA).
Student meals are free.
Adult and non-student meal prices will be available by September 1, pending school board action.
