The 2019-2020 school year will be a good one. 2018-2019 was a great year with many improvements. This year will be even better!
To start the year we need help from parents:
Send your child to school EVERY DAY ON TIME. Attendance is taken at 10:00. Even if students have a doctor’s appointment, bring them to school afterward with the doctor’s note to get counted present. If your child isn’t at school he/she isn’t even getting exposed to the curriculum so they are missing out! Students are considered tardy if not in class by 8:00.
Stay in contact with your child’s teacher about their ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. Ask questions from the teacher about how your child’s academic level compares to his/her peers. If your child is behind, find out what you can do at home to reinforce what we are teaching at school.
Call the teacher or administrator if something doesn’t look or sound right. If we don’t know about a problem, we can’t help solve it.
Ms. Jessica Castillo has joined our Brook team as our Assistant Principal. You will see her every day in the car dismissal line.
Dismissal procedures have changed a bit. PreK or Kinder students will not be allowed to be walkers unless they have older siblings in 1st and above.
Review the parent info sheet given to you at registration. This contains valuable information that you will need to know about this school year.
As the principal, I will be visible at morning arrival and afternoon dismissal every day. Roll down your window and ask me if you have questions regarding your child’s education.
Meet the Teacher will be August 15 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Brook. Beginning at 5:30 we will serve ice cream and cookies to celebrate our accomplishments in 2018-19. Hope you will join us!!!
