Dear Mountainview Elementary Community, 

 

My name is Cari Detlefsen, and it is my honor to serve Mountainview Elementary and the surrounding community as Principal. In returning to Waco ISD this year, this will be my first year serving as a principal within the district. As I complete my fourteenth year in education, I have served Waco ISD for four years previously as teacher, six years as campus administrator in West ISD, and three years as district administrator in West ISD. 

 

I received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University. I am blessed to have the support of my husband, Clint, and two children -- Maesyn, who is a second grader at Mountainview Elementary, and Zach, who is our recent addition to our crew. 

 

Family means everything to me, both inside and out of school. By partnering with you and the community, the successes our children can achieve are endless. I look forward to this school year, and all of the everlasting memories we will create.
