Dr. Keonna White has spent the last 20 years as an educator in some capacity. Dr. White has held positions as an early childhood educator, middle and high school teacher, district-level Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, Adjunct Professor, Principal, and Executive Director of Professional Development. In addition to serving as the Executive Director of Professional Development and Curriculum for Waco Independent School District, Dr. White also serves as the District Liaison for professional development partnerships with Baylor University, Tarleton State University, and Texas Tech. Dr. White is the founder of Ready? Collect. Lead, LLC. 

Dr. White completed a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Effective Schools from Grand Canyon University. She holds a master’s degree and principal certification from Tarleton State University, received her teacher certification from the University of Mary Hardin- Baylor, and bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern MS.

Prior to her current assignment, Dr. White worked as a principal liaison at ESC 12 in the Superintendent and Campus Leadership Department. Keonna served on the ESC 12 School Improvement Team. She actively partnered with campuses for coaching, planning, mentoring, and providing professional development support. Keonna designed and co-taught the Texas Principal Preparation & Certification Program through Education Service Center Region 12. Keonna’s strongest desire is to eradicate educational gaps that exists amongst people who have been historically disenfranchised. She is currently engaging in personal study related to culturally responsive practices, race, ethics, and equity in leadership.
