“My philosophy of education is that I hope to foster a life-long love of learning in students, facilitate the acquisition of life-long learning skills, prepare them to function effectively in a world of information and technology, and to develop critical thinking skills and problem-solving strategies.  I am responsible for not only the shaping of their minds, but also for the shaping of their self-discipline, higher level thinking and good problem-solving techniques.  I will also facilitate how they interact with their peers and their environment outside of school.  My primary focus is helping children to make good choices and learn to encourage each other to do the same.  I would really like to promote self-respect and mutual respect for others.”

Cathleen has one son - Ryan.  Her hobbies include scrapbooking, photography, travel and cooking.
