Graduation ceremonies will be relocated and potentially held indoors at one of the district's high school campuses. Further details and logistics will be shared with families and staff if this level of contingency is activated. 

A decision regarding postponement will be made by 1:00 PM on the day of each scheduled graduation. District administration will notify all families, graduates, and staff through the district's automated call system and other official communication platforms (e.g., ParentSquare, email, social media).

Graduates should arrive at the stadium at least one hour before the start of the ceremony, and will be allowed in 90 minutes before the start of the ceremony. 

Guests will be allowed to enter 90 minutes before the start of the ceremony and should be prepared to walk through security protocols before entry. Please plan ahead, only bring clear bags and review the prohibited items list below. 

Graduates will be fully dressed in their caps, gowns, and regalia before taking their seats.

Seating for families is first come, first-served.

Graduation is to be a respectful event. Please be respectful of all graduates and their families as their names are called. Please do not bring noisemakers to the event.

Please wait until after the ceremony is over and all graduates have exited before leaving your seats. You will be able to meet your graduate outside of the stadium in a designated area in the parking lot. 

Graduates should be in their caps and gowns with any regalia prior to entering the stadium. Graduates must dress according to the Waco ISD dress code standard.

1. Graduates may not decorate their caps.
2. No shorts or jeans are permitted.
3. No spike heels, flip-flops, or shower shoes are permitted.
4. No bags or purses on the field. 

Clear bottled water only! No other outside food, drink or large beverage containers (example: Stanley or YETI style cups) will be allowed in the stadium. No concessions will be sold at graduation.

Do not bring items such as:

• Food or beverages (outside of clear water bottles)
• Large beverage containers (example: Stanley or YETI style cups)
• Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)
• Tobacco, alcohol, or fireworks (including the parking lot)
• Pets/Animals
• Posters, signs, banners, placards, or mortarboards
• Bullhorns, airhorns, or any artificial noisemakers
• Glitter, confetti, rice, or birdseed
• Balloons

Smoking/vaping is not allowed inside the stadium nor on the grounds of the facility.

To ensure guest safety and a quicker entry to the ceremony, Waco ISD has implemented a clear bag standard. Types of allowed bags are:

• Clear tote - not to exceed 12" x 8"
• Plastic storage bag - clear 1-gallon, resealable
• Small clutch- approximately the size of a hand
• Medically necessary items
