Credit Recovery Systems

Level 1 will be a one-period all-year OLL class for students who need 8 or less Edmentum courses, which is the equivalent of 4 or fewer credits. 

Students who need 9 to 14 Edmentum courses will need no more than 2 year-long class periods of OLL and will require a Level 2 referral. This will require a collaboration between the cohort counselor and the Credit Recovery Program Counselor/Specialist along with the student to make a plan to meet their needs. Special Education students who are enrolled in Resource classes via ARD, will be assigned to Edmentum for all other courses and enrolled in Level 2 only. 

Students who need more than 14 Edmentum courses to get back on track will need to be referred to the on-campus Credit Recovery Program by the cohort counselor. This will require a collaboration between the Director of Credit Recovery Systems, cohort counselor, and Credit Recovery Program Counselor/Specialist along with the student to make a plan to meet their needs. Cohort counselors will complete the Level 3 referral at the specific campus links. There will also be an OFSDP (Optional Flexible School Day Program) application required for these students as required by TEA for their "shift enrollment verification."

Level 3 students who need to pass less than 3 EOC tests, will spend their WIN time working on their portfolios to stay in compliance with HB 1416. All of their work will be encumbered through Google Classroom aligned to the EOC deficits. For students that need to pass 3 or more EOC tests, they will be scheduled into WIN time with an assigned teacher outside of the Credit Recovery Program, for targeted EOC intervention. Teachers will keep track of the minutes accumulated for required intervention as required by HB 1416.
