Our Mission is for the library to be a hub of educational activity where we can foster a learner-centered, technology-rich information commons where inquiry, knowledge, enjoyment, creativity all live together. We aim to provide flexible, open, unrestricted, and equitable access to the library and its resources and materials.
Our Vision for Waco ISD Libraries is to develop students as critical seekers of information and ideas and to use instructional and educational technology effectively so they may become independent life-long learners and decision makers.

The district recognizes that parents are the primary decision-makers regarding their student’s access to library materials, and the need to keep parents informed as to the materials that are available for their students. Waco ISD uses Destiny Follett to house the library catalog for each campus.
Families can use Destiny to:
- Browse the full catalog by accessing Destiny online.
- See your child's library record that includes a complete list of materials they check out.
- Set limits by submitting a list of specific titles you do not want your child to check out.
