Students can access databases through their Clever accounts. They will select the Texquest icon, select Waco ISD, and enter a password given to them by their school librarian. 

If you need assistance with research, you may come in during open hours--before school, during lunch, or after school--or email your campus librarian.

Two in most cases, but a librarian may allow more for avid readers. After learning checkout procedures, Kindergarten students may check out one book at a time. 

Visit your online Destiny catalog to see what books are available in your library's collection. Books will be labeled as "out" or "in". You can search for book titles, authors, and subjects. Students may login with their ID number as their usernames and password to view current checkouts and to place books on hold.

Let your librarian know. Accidents happen, and they understand. Students may be charged for damages or the cost of the book; however, librarians are always willing to make arrangements. The main priority is that students continue to have access to the library while also learning how to care for books. 

If you are not enjoying your book, no worries. There are plenty of other books to be checked out! Simply swap your book for another that is more aligned to your interest during open-checkout.

Find out from your teacher or librarian when your library has open check-out. Elementary classes will also have regularly scheduled times to come to the library. For secondary campuses, most teachers will allow you to visit the library to check out or return a book if there is time available in class. See your librarian for other available times, like before school, during lunch, or after school.

We want every student to self-select books that align with their interests and family values. Parents have always been the primary decision-makers regarding access to library materials. Please see the instructions for creating a parent account in Destiny under Library Catalog and Parent Access. With a parent account, you may access your child's checkout history and current checkouts and make book choices for your child, including restricting specific books from being checked out by your child.
