"I feel that we hall have an obligation to serve others who need our help. On this board, my primary purpose is to serve and support those teachers, parents, and WISD staff members who are helping to raise and educate our students, to make sure that all of their voices are included in the decisions that affect their lives, and to encourage others to do the same."

"As a life-long educator, I know that a quality education can open doors! Opportunities to learn, explore, and achieve goals help make well-rounded students into productive citizens.

Arash Abnoussi is a lifelong educator, district-level educational leader, and proud public-school parent with 22 years of experience in Texas public education. His career has included leadership in mathematics education, instructional support, federal programs, emergent bilingual education, and educator professional development.

Arash has served in leadership roles with professional and community organizations and has contributed to statewide educational initiatives as a university lecturer, mathematics trainer, and assessment item writer. He holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and is committed to strong public schools, meaningful community partnerships, and helping every student pursue their passions and be prepared for the future.
