College Readiness and Preparation

  • The Advanced Academic Services department is responsible for planning and implementing the district's programs for PSAT, SAT, ACT, and TSI preparation. This preparation can range from materials distributed to classroom teachers to small group student meetings to open-enrollment classes to prepare students for college assessments.  

    Calendar events will announce when open-enrollment events are occurring. These will also be posted on the calendars of each of the high schools.

    20 hours of practice on Khan Academy is associated with an average 115-point score increase from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT, nearly double the average gain without Khan.
