A Message from the Dean
Greetings, my name is Dr. Dale McCall and I am the Dean of the Greater Waco Advanced Manufacturing Academy (GWAMA).
Welcome to our 8th year at GWAMA with our Welding, Electronics & Robotics ,Construction Science, and Architecture Academies. We are excited about having your students on our campus.
The students at GWAMA come from 14 different area high schools, and we have increased our student enrollment to over 300 students this academic year. Students are eligible to attend GWAMA during their 10th grade (sophomore), 11th grade (junior), or 12th grade (senior) year.
We know that all of us have undergone and made many changes in our lives over the last 6-9 months, and school districts have been though many of the same challenges.
Our primary concern is to keep everyone who works and attends GWAMA safe and healthy. We will be requiring all of our students to have a daily temperature check and to answer health questions prior to coming into the building. Social distancing will be utilized whenever possible and all students must wear a mask on campus at all times. Hand sterilization stations will be placed in multiple areas, such as the cafeteria, hallways, and in all classrooms.
The school year started September 8, 2020 and as we have done in the past, GWAMA students will follow the Waco ISD calendar schedule.
We will continue to share more information about GWAMA and the upcoming events on this website.
We are excited about the 2020-2021 academic year and look forward to hearing from you. If you need to contact me, you can use the form below or call 254-412-7900.
