Welcome to Parkdale PDS for this school year!!

I am the assistant principal and my role is simply to be a part of our great team at Parkdale.  We have embraced our motto of PRIDE—Positive, Respectful, Involved, Determined and Excellence. I am excited to help make all those happen for every one of our Panthers!!

Last year, this resulted in active partnerships with local businesses for the benefit of our kids. We were blessed from cookies and guest speakers plus school supplies and coins for perfect attendance. Thankfully many shared their prayers and good wishes for our entire school from the first day until the very last day.

This year we will be gifted with those same partners plus a few more. We will have Book Clubs and mentors to further enhance the experience of our young learners. We are implementing a series of extracurricular clubs to add to our program with the students’ best interest at heart. We greatly appreciate all the effort and heart our partnerships have shared with us and will continue to share with these new ventures.

This year will be one of proactive collaboration  with my parents, teachers, staff and students!  I see this position as assistant principal as another opportunity to both teach and learn, ever growing in my chosen vocation of education. It is that desire to always learn that I hope to inspire in our school community plus receive from them right back. Onward and Upward for this school year!

On a personal note, my husband and I enjoy our family but have come to appreciate our recent  “empty nest.” We have adopted a few kids with four feet and fur—our K-9 babies!  We like to travel and take in a movie or a nice meal in our hometown of Waco, TX. We’ve been here over a decade, so we have seen the many changes in the area—the growth and prosperity is crystal clear. This is a great place for youngsters to grow and prepare for their future; becoming active successful community members in their own.

Please feel free to reach me via my email or on campus.  Know I treat every child, as I would expect someone to treat my own children.  With this mindset, I seek only the best for your child.

Regards and Panther PRIDE!
