Mrs. Kelli Barron

Biography: Hello, Eagles! My name is Kelli Barron. I am the Instructional Specialist for ELAR and New Teachers here at CCMS. I have been an Eagle for 8 years, and this is my 10th year in education.  I grew up in Waco, but took a sabbatical from the Heart of Texas to experience life in the open West and then the Gulf Coast. After living in both smaller and larger cities, I returned to Waco and became a part of Waco ISD. I graduated from Angelo State University with my Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1999. Then received my Master of Divinity degree from Truett Theological Seminary in 2003 and my Master of Education degree from Tarleton State University in 2018. My husband, children, and I (along with our dog, Max) love to hike and spend time at Cameron Park. Everyone but Max loves to read! I treasure my professional life here at CCMS as our Eagle family RISES UP united by our motto, “Si, Se Puede!”

My Why: Why CCMS? Because our students and teachers deserve the best possible learning environment we can create. My piece in that puzzle is fostering a growth-mindset environment where our new teachers can blossom into master teachers and developing the strongest ELAR team in Central Texas so our Eagles can grow into capable, passionate readers and writers.
