Remote Instruction Platforms
Students can access Canvas and Seesaw via Clever.
Students in grades 6th – 12th will be utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System. The link below has instructions on how to access student accounts.
Students in grades PreK – 5th will be utilizing Seesaw Learning Management System. Please check with your child’s teacher to invite you to see their work.
Teachers will be using Zoom to connect live with students. Please know that your child does not need to have an account with Zoom to participate with instruction.
Wi-Fi Hot Spot Requests
Waco ISD has added an additional 2,200 mobile hot spots for students to check out, bringing our total to approximately 2,700.
The Wi-Fi hotspot provides filtered internet access to student technology devices for instructional purposes only and complies with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
Please click on the link below to request a hot spot if your household currently does not have internet access for your students to work remotely. Please know that this service is limited in availability and will require this form to be completed.
Within 48 hours of the initial request, a T-Mobile internet device will be checked out to a student and brought to the campus for deployment. The campus will contact the student’s family to set up a convenient time for pick up.
Waco ISD has added external Wi-Fi access at the following locations, allowing students to access the internet through Waco ISD and its content filters:
- Cesar Chavez Middle School
- G.W. Carver Middle School
- University High School
- Waco High School
- Estella Maxey
- South Terrace
- Kate Ross
Additionally, six Kajeet SmartBuses that broadcast a safe and secure internet signal for remote learning will be parked at apartment complexes during the day. Locations TBD.
Family/Student Help Desk
The Waco ISD Remote Student Tech Help Desk team will be available Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. to assist parents and students with technical support. You can reach them at 254-284-1072.
