The Waco ISD CTE Business Advisory Boards are comprised of volunteers who agree to serve as advisors to one or more career and technical academies. Members include representatives from business, labor, community agencies, colleges, faculty, and students.
The primary purpose our advisory boards is to provide direction and guidance for our academies. Boards work together to strengthen and enhance the success of our students. By working closely with the business and labor communities, WISD CTE continues to provide high quality workforce training and education to our students.
WISD CTE Business Advisory Boards support and reinforce partnerships between business, labor, the community, and education. Our boards make recommendations that strengthen and help to expand the curriculum to improve the quality of WISD academies. Members provide valuable input in areas such as curriculum development, student recruitment and placement, staff development, equipment and software.
