I earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a major in English and a minor in Special Education and a Master's in Education from Tarleton University. I hold a Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education, K-12, EC-6, the Science of Teaching Reading endorsement, and Principal certification.

I have been a special education teacher for about 22 years. During my career, I worked for Killeen ISD and Copperas Cove ISD. I worked in behavior units, life skills classes, and taught resources in both elementary and middle schools in Killeen. Additionally, I served as District Behavior and/or Autism Specialist for both Killeen and Copperas Cove. Finally, I worked as the Special Education Coordinator for Shoemaker High School in Killeen.

 I have recently relocated to the Waco area. I am extremely excited and blessed to have this opportunity to work for Waco ISD at Hillcrest PDS.
