TAFE - Texas Association of Future Educators
The University High School T.A.F.E. student organization participated in the 35th Annual Teach Tomorrow Summit in Allen, Texas, on February 28th through March 2nd. Five of our students made it to the State Competition to represent University High School and Waco ISD. Tye Burks and Gabrielle Taylor accepted a blue ribbon with a perfect score of 100 for their “Project Visualize” promoting Lemonade Day in the category of Fundraising. Alison Maugham and Yoseline Orozco accepted a red ribbon for their “Project Visualize” in the category of Educational Awareness. The girls were the project managers for the community service project breakfast with Dr. Seuss. Gabrielle Taylor accepted a blue ribbon for her entry and presentation of “Interactive Bulletin Board” for Pre-K. We are so proud of these students for their time and effort in our first year as a T.A.F.E. student organization.
