Accountability Standards for 2011 |
| |
The Texas
Education Agency uses the Academic Excellence Indicator
System (AEIS) to compile a wide range of information on
the performance of students in each school and district
in Texas. The system uses the Texas Assessment of Knowledge
and Skills (TAKS) tests to evaluate performance in subject
areas (Reading/ELA, Writing, Social Studies, Mathematics,
Science) and student groups (All Students, African-American,
Hispanic, White, Economically Disadvantaged). The information
compiled by the system is used to produce annual District
Performance Reports and School Report Cards. The reports
ultimately result in Performance Ratings that are summarized below. You may also download the Indicators and Standards for 2011 here. |
