	All Carver Academy students enjoy a real-world, hands-on curriculum which is presented in nine-week integrated units called Odysseys. Students are organized in teams which work collaboratively on the Odyssey, a learning adventure. Examples of Odysseys are: 6th--Connections, Cultures, Sports, Cultures, Justice; 7th--Texas Proud, Time, Flight, Animals, Rivers; and 8th--Careers, Illusions, The 60's, Oceans, Space. Field trips, projects, and presentations are integral to the curriculum. The curriculum is written on a Gifted and Talented model promoting creativity and higher level thinking for all students. We believe all students are gifted in some way and each one benefits from working with all other students. At Carver Academy full Inclusion is the rule. Preparing the student for life is our goal.
