One of the most well-known athletes and coaches ever at Waco University High School is switching from the hardwood to the gridiron. Rodney Smith, who graduated from UHS and then went on to play at Baylor and in the NFL, will be the new head football coach for the Trojans.   more

Final 2016 STAAR results released Monday, August 15, show Waco ISD “Met Standard” again as a district as schools continue to improve and meet state benchmarks for test score growth.
