Waco ISD wins impressive award at conference

Amber George, Coordinator of Community Resources, recently won a Crystal Commendation Award from the Texas School Public Relations Association for her work in organizing, promoting and executing the H-E-B Celebrity Cook-Off benefitting the Waco ISD Education Foundation.
TSPRA is a professional organization dedicated to promoting public education in Texas through effective communications. In addition to providing professional development and networking opportunities, the annual TSPRA Conference also features a "star awards" program that recognizes and honors the work of member schools.
Waco ISD has won numerous TSPRA awards over the past decade for its high quality print publications and video productions. But prior to this year, the district had never won a “Crystal Commendation Award” for a promotional campaign using a variety of media.
