Text: The role of parents in student success

Education and student success motivational speaker Jaime Carias will be speaking at the University High School PAC on March 3, 2018 from 9 in the morning to 11. His topic is called Dreaming to Achieving: The role of parents in student success.

Mr. Carias is the Civic Engagement Coordinator for the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He was born in South Central Los Angeles, CA with a speaking disability, stuttering, yet was able to transform himself into a community leader, researcher, and author.

He inspires and educates students of all ages from middle school to college, coaches educators, and engages parents.

He has dedicated the past decade to creating evidence-based programs that foster access to higher education and empower under-served communities across the country.

Carias earned a Master of Public Policy from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy.
