UHS JROTC Cadets

UHS-JROTC competed this past weekend at Karen Wagner HS in their first drill competition of the school year.

University High is proud of all the JROTC teams (Color Guard, Armed, Unarmed, & Raider Teams) that competed and represented UHS with great spirit, motivation, and determination.

We are especially proud of our Raider Teams (physical fitness teams), both male and female. The Male Team earned 1st Place out of 36 schools that competed with a combined score of 919 points, winning by only one point. Eric Reece completed 129 push ups breaking the old JROTC record of 109 push ups held by former Cadet Jaime Garcia. See below for team members:

  • Eric Reece
  • Sebastian Evans
  • Jose Luciano
  • LaQuan Quinton

The Female Team placed 6th of 23 teams that competed in the PT portion of the competition. Team members are:

  • Esmeralda Castelan
  • Janet Moreno
  • Lyrik Taylor
  • Naomi Hernandez

We are very proud of all our cadets who participated and want to give them all the recognition they have worked so hard to achieve.
