October is Anti Bullying Month

Waco ISD is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for all of our students. Schools, across the district encourage communities to work together to stop bullying and cyber bullying by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of bullying on all children of all ages. Waco ISD is united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Waco ISD is united in an effort to end bullying.

As part of National Bullying Prevention Month, Waco ISD will be involved in the following activities:

On Oct. 2, students and staff are encouraged to wear blue to increase awareness of bullying and cyberbullying.

On Oct. 18, students and staff can wear red or polka dots to highlight the David's Law Anti-Bullying Pledge to "never use my device as a weapon."

On Oct. 25, Waco ISD will wear orange to "show that we're together against bullying" as part of Unity Day.

Throughout the month, campus counselors will also focus their guidance lessons on bullying and cyber bullying prevention and awareness. Lessons will be geared toward making friends with someone students do not already know at school, challenging others to be kind, standing up for others, creating positive messages, being a leader, and more.Anti-Bullying swag
