Dr. Diann Dillon, dedicated educator, passes Friday morning.
It is with a heavy heart that we inform the Waco ISD family that Dr. Diann Dillon, retired teacher and administrator for Waco ISD, lost her brave battle with cancer. Per her request, there was a graveside service only on Monday, April 3rd, at 3:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery. The graveside service was open to the public. It was Diann’s request that flowers not be sent. Instead, donations may be made to Fuzzy Friends, ABC Clinic or the Waco Humane Society.
Dr. Dillon was a dedicated educator and dear friend and colleague to many. She taught fifth and fourth grades for ten years. During this time, she attended Baylor University and earned both a MS in 1998 and a doctorate in 2004 in Education Administration. For the next eleven years of her career, she served as an Instructional Specialist and then as an assistant principal. She retired from Waco ISD in December of 2013.
She will be missed.
