On Tuesday morning, students from the Academic Decathlon, AVID and Career Prep classes sat in on a seminar about business and interview etiquette. Ms. Sarah Anyesworth, Etiquette Consultant, was on hand to give students tips on how to enhance their employability skills during the application and interview process of a job search. Ms. Anyesworth covered topics such as how to give a proper handshake, using your first and last name when introducing yourself, dressing for an interview, and cell phone use and etiquette.
After today’s seminar, the session will be followed by teacher classroom instruction on resume writing. These activities are in preparation for the student group to attend the Goodwill Industries / Texas Workforce Commission Job Fair in May, where they will put their new skills in action.
