Who: All Waco ISD teachers that are interested in ESL certification, especially emergency certified ESL Teachers
What: ESL Academy for ESL certification test preparation
When: Saturday, October 3 AND Saturday, November 7 - 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Where: Admin Board Room - 501 Franklin Ave. Waco, Texas 76703
Why: Two days of ESL strategies and information to prepare teachers to take the ESL Certification Test and to learn strategies to assist ELL students.
How: Sign up on Eduphoria - Collaboration between Professional Development and ELL Department for training and training materials.
Cost of ESL Test Reimbursement Procedures:
1. Prior to reimbursement, the teacher must apply online for his/her certification at [ http://www.sbec.state.tx.us/ ]www.sbec.state.tx.us.
2. Please submit the following items to the ELL office (Cris Leary):
Copy of official examinee score report
Copy of admission confirmation ticket for test (complete with name and cost)
Current name, address, campus
