Waco Independent School District is pleased to announce that four of its elementary schools have been selected to receive an Apple grant as part of the ConnectED program. The award will enable Bell’s Hill, J.H. Hines, Kendrick and Provident Heights to provide a comprehensive 1:1 technology solution for every student and teacher, including Apple hardware, software, and services.

By providing students, teachers, and administrators with Apple technology, the four schools will be able to enrich classroom experiences and expand opportunities for their students.

“It’s a great day at Waco ISD!” proclaimed an ecstatic Superintendent Dr. Bonny Cain. “This grant will have a tremendous impact on our students and the Waco community. We are extremely thankful to Apple for leveling the playing field for more than 2,000 Waco ISD students who until this time have only dreamed of using an iPad.”

“This grant will allow our economically disadvantaged scholars the ability to access digital resources and create meaningful experiences using technology in new and innovative ways,” added Tra Hall, principal at J.H. Hines Elementary. “Our teachers will be given access to the latest instructional technology that will transform our classrooms."
