Students were limited only by their imagination at the third-annual Exploring Inspirations Project Fair, hosted by the Waco ISD Advanced Academics department on Thursday, May 29 at 6 p.m. in the University High cafeteria. Approximately 150 student projects were displayed, representing elementary, middle and high schools.

The process began earlier in the semester at the campus level, where the challenge was for each student to independently research and present a topic of their choice. The assignment followed the guidelines of the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP).

To determine the participants of the district-level GT Product Fair, each campus conducted a mini product fair to evaluate projects using the grade-level appropriate TPSP rubric and selected two winners per grade level.

The project was required for all identified gifted and talented students. Other students in gifted and talented cluster classrooms or Pre Advanced Placement classrooms were invited to participate but not required.
