Mission:

To provide support and services which result in improved student achievement and successful school completion for students with special needs and to provide support and services to the teachers and staff who serve these students.

Services and Responsibilities:

The Special Education Department is responsible for coordination of funding and/or programming for the provision of special education and related services. Special education is instruction that is specially designed to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. This means education that is individually developed to address a specific child's needs that result from his or her disability.
