About A. J. Moore Academy

A. J. Moore Academy was founded in 1996 named for Andrew Jefferson Moore. The school's original name was Jefferson Moore High School.

Doris Miller Attended Jefferson Moore High.

Today A. J. Moore has a student body of around 600 students. Administration includes Principal Dr. Debra Bishop, and assistant principals Ms. Angela Reiher, Ms. Debra Johnson, and Mr. Brandon Hubbard.

About A. J. Moore JROTC

Our program was first activated August 2000 (NDCC). JROTC certification was obtained in June of 2001. Army instructors included MAJ Mike Conner and 1SG Terrell. Our current instructors are MAJ Conner and 1SG Hart.

About Army JROTC

Army JROTC was first started in 1916 with only 6 units. Now in 2004 the program has over 1555 schools with over 230,000 cadets.
