Color Guard

Objective:The Bulldog Battalion's Color Guard is made of three teams: Female, Male and Co-Ed. Each team is composed of two Color (Flag) Bearers and two Guards. The two standard colors carried by the bearers are the United States and Texas State flags. The Guards carry demilitarized 10.5 lb. M1 Rifles. The Color Guards present and post colors at many events and presentations as well as competing at various drill competitions. Members of the Color Guard must train to execute drill movements precisely on mark with or without command as well as maintain a sharp image when presenting colors. By regulation the cadet serving as Captain of the team is the Bearer of the U.S. Flag. The regulations the Color Guards act by and are judged by are those found in the U.S. Army FM 22.5.
