  Career Investigations
(Required course for all 8th grade students)

Career Investigations is designed to prepare students for the world of work. The course introduces students to fifteen occupational clusters as well as employment skills such as resume and letter writing, and the interview process. Students are also provided the opportunity to visit work sites, and interview professionals as well as develop a portfolio outlining their goals, interests, abilities and aptitudes. Students work closely with teachers, parents, and counselors to develop a high school graduation plan based on personal interest and aptitude.
